Zendesk Chat (Zopim) is a great chat service and part of the Zendesk family. But did you know you can use one account on multiple sites, while still having completely different settings and design?
If you have a number of sites, shops or customers who want to use the chat from one account, you can now fully customize all the parts of the Zendesk Chat per site. This plugin for WordPress is very intuitive, explanatory and easy to use. It is compatible with all versions of WordPress and can be used with WPML, WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads and their respective plugins.
What can you customize in Zendesk Chat?
The Zendesk Chat (Zopim) chat badge, button, bubble, window, concierge, theme, language, names, sounds, status, visibility, availability, default messages, auto-reply, tagging, departments and a lot more can be fully customized to your liking. You can change the color, the image, avatar, text and messages. Zendesk does not offer full customization service, so that’s where we come in. How does it work?
The plugin is based on the Zopim API, which is a native way to configure the script used for Zendesk Chat. The API is and will be supported in the future, with new features already being announced. These features will be integrated into the plugin free of charge and you will be able to update the plugin to receive the new functionality.
The plugin first creates a basic asynchronious script that is placed in the footer of the site. Every part that is configured, is then added according to best practice, to this code and loads as soon as the page has been loaded. This prevents the site to slow down or become dependent on the availability of the Zendesk Chat service. Even if this service is offline, your site will never suffer speed issues.
Installing the plugin
Upon purchase, a ZIP file containing the plugin will be available for download. Install the plugin by uploading this zip in the “Add Plugin” section or by copying all files to /wp-content/plugins
